Produced by ModulHaus Incorporated, owned by Richard S. Chan, the pioneering mask production facility in northern Luzon is equipped with a box of 500 individually packaged masks to protect each user from virus infection.
At present, some government agencies in the region have begun to use locally produced masks. According to Engr. Edison Acosta, the head of DOST La Union, said that locally made masks produced in the province have passed international standards and are currently being commercialized in some areas of the province.
Acosta stated that as DOST’s OneStore digital marketing department provides an e-commerce platform for the high-quality Filipino products of its aided small and medium-sized enterprises, negotiations are currently underway to promote the products to a wider market, not only in the first zone, but also Also to neighboring areas.
